These Terms govern your use of Routecut. By creating an account or sending requests to our API, you agree to them.
1. The service
Routecut is an API gateway that classifies each request and routes it to a third-party model provider according to your account's policy. We return the provider's response to you.
2. Accounts & API keys
- You're responsible for keeping your API key secret and for all activity under it.
- We store only a hash of your key and can revoke it. Notify us immediately at abe@routecut.com if you suspect it's compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Routecut to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service. Because we route to third-party providers, your use must also comply with the usage policies of the underlying model providers your traffic is routed to.
4. Fees
Routecut is performance-based: you pay a percentage of the savings we deliver, billed monthly, as set out on our Pricing page. If we don't lower your bill, you owe nothing.
5. Data
Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy and Security & Privacy page. In short: prompt and response content is processed in memory and never stored; we keep metadata only.
6. Availability
The service is provided on a commercially reasonable best-effort basis. We include automatic provider fallback to improve resilience, but we don't currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. Model outputs come from third-party providers; we don't warrant their accuracy, and you're responsible for how you use them.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Routecut is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using Routecut at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Changes & governing law
We may update these Terms; the "last updated" date will change. These Terms are governed by applicable law.
